FAQ · Measuring & Install
What are the best window coverings for renters?
Reversible, lighter, and honest about weight. No-drill options — tension rods that press-fit inside the opening and clamp adapters that grip a tilt-in window’s top sash — let you hang lighter shades (cellular, light rollers) without holes, which protects the deposit. Cordless lifts keep the look clean and, in homes with kids or pets, are the CPSC-preferred safer choice. Standard sizes or affordable custom you can leave behind (or take with you if it inside-mounts cleanly) keep the cost sensible for a place you don’t own. The one caution: no-drill mounts have real weight and width limits — they won’t hold heavy wood blinds or very wide spans, and past the rating a tension shade slips and can damage the sill, which defeats the point.
