Cordless Lift

A cordless lift raises and lowers a shade by pushing up or pulling down on the bottom rail, with a spring or friction mechanism holding position — no dangling operating cord. It’s cleaner-looking, removes the tangled-cord annoyance, and, importantly, removes the accessible-cord hazard that makes cordless the recommended choice in homes with children and pets. The honest limits: very tall or heavy shades can be a two-hand lift, and the internal mechanism is a wear part over many years. For the large majority of windows, cordless is the right default, and it’s now the industry norm on stock sizes.
