Minimum vs Flush Depth

Sellers usually list two inside-mount depth figures. Minimum depth is the least the frame needs for the blind to mount at all — below it, the product protrudes past the frame face. Flush depth is the deeper figure at which the headrail sits entirely inside the opening for that clean recessed look. Between the two, a blind mounts but sticks out slightly, which can interfere with a crank window or a storm window. The practical read: measure your actual shallowest depth, compare it to both published numbers, and treat “fits at minimum” as a working install, not the catalog photo. Confirm the figures against the seller’s spec page.
