Mounting Bracket

Mounting brackets are the metal clips or boxes screwed to the frame, wall, or ceiling that the headrail snaps or slides into. Getting them level and correctly spaced is most of an install: a headrail is only as straight as its brackets. Sellers include a bracket count scaled to width and specify placement (near each end, plus intermediates on wide blinds). Two practical notes: screw into solid wood casing where possible, and use wall anchors when mounting into drywall. A wide, heavy blind with too few or poorly anchored brackets sags or pulls out — the failure is almost always the mount, not the product.
