Solar Shade

A solar shade is a roller shade made from an open-weave screen fabric rated by openness percentage. It behaves like sunglasses for a window: it knocks down glare and blocks a large share of UV while preserving an outward view, which makes it ideal for living rooms and offices with a view worth keeping. The honest limit is privacy — a solar shade you can see through in the day becomes see-through the other way at night when the room is lit, so it’s a poor solo choice for bedrooms. Openness percentage is the spec that matters: lower blocks more light and view, higher keeps more of both.
